DIY Personalized Clay Keepsake
I saw a Personalize Clay Keepsake kit online which I thought was a great idea to do with the kids. Not only that, I love the idea of being able to record their growth through hand or foot prints. The price of the kit was reasonable but if I wanted to make it to record their growth and use as stepping stones around the backyard I think the cost would add up. So, my solution was to try to make it myself and do a DIY Personalize Clay Keepsake.
1/2 Cup Salt
1/2 Cup Flour
1/4 Cup Water
Mix and knead all ingredients until dough forms. Make desired impression and bake at 200°F for 3 hours.
The kit that I saw online did already have the already made clay, the ring cutter as well as the stand and did not require baking, so if you’d rather the convenience that it offers for only $15.95 here’s the link to where you can purchase the Deluxe Clay Hand Print and Footprint Keepsake Kit.
You can add this to your home décor or make this yearly and make a stepping stone path for your yard as I plan to do. It’s a project your whole family can be part of and appreciate.
